We’re Pregnant!

We spent a week in Manhattan, NY and stayed with our friend Kara in her smaller apartment. We loved it and did a lot of fabulous things! We can’t wait to go back.
We saw Miss Saigon at the Broadway Theater, went ice skating at Rockefeller, viewed the skyline on Top of the Rock, and played in the snow in Central park.
Chris, Donna, Kat, and Mike went down to the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida to see Rhett and Link Mythicality Tour. First, we had an early dinner and then got in the long line for the show. It was packed with many, many mythical beasts with less than standing room. Afterward, we walked around the shops and had ice cream even though it was cold.
Getting our Christmas tree decorated is an event. We have hot chocolate, music, and Tazzie!
We brought Taz with us to Greeneville this year for Thanksgiving. Jax was lively being able to walk and all. Michelle won croquet for Julius!
We camped for two nights at Morrow Mountain State Park in North Carolina and hiked the Fall Mountain Trail. We then picked up Mom and Grandma Sunday morning from Virginia (Mike’s Aunts house) to bring them home. We had to strap our camping gear in a roof bag on the top of the car to make room for everything!
Kathleen decided she was ready to experience a wider variety of things at work. She started a new job at the same hospital in the central staffing office. She gets to work in all the ICU’s and Emergency Department. She is nervous but excited to see new things and to meet new people.
We waited all week for hurricane Irma as it slowed before hitting landfall. It was bigger and stronger than Andrew, but it weakened over the west coast of Florida. Dad’s house was flooded because of all the rain and I had to help out at 4am to dig out the drainage ditch.
We drove to Mr. Wright’s house to visit and also to see the eclipse. He happened to live in the totality zone which was a amazing experience. We had the dark glasses and experienced about two minutes of darkness!
